When my family lived in Botswana, near death experiences were so common that we just called them “NDEs.”
My first NDE was when I was about six months old, when a black mamba snuck into my bedroom. For those that aren’t familiar: black mambas are aggressive, fast, and contain a neurotoxic venom that can kill you in 30 minutes.
